Flashback: Pay more often

Journey to Financial Freedom hosted Carnival #23, and this week’s Flashback is from Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise: Making Monthly Payments Weekly.  Dividing up your payments (paying a fraction every week rather than once a month, for example) allows a faster paydown of a loan.  Plus, if you divide your payment in four and pay once a week, you actually sneak in a full extra payment a year, but it hardly feels like it.  This is an extra trick you can use to pay down your debt faster.
