Carnival of Debt Reduction

A blog carnival about reducing consumer debt

Flashback: Look for how others did it

No Credit Needed hosted Carnival of Debt Reduction #11.  Boston Gal’s Open Wallet post from that carnival — How I Focused on Getting Out of Debt — is the subject of this week’s Flashback.

Lots of people have successfully gotten themselves out of debt, and many of them will likely share how they did it if asked.  If you’re in consumer debt, look for how others got out of debt.  There will be more ways to get out of debt than you could ever imagine.  Boston Gal got out of debt by (a) creating a debt journal, (b) moonlighted and threw all of that extra money at the debt, and (c) rewarded herself at each milestone.  That worked for her, and there will be other things that worked for other people.

The takeaway here is to listen to stories of how people got out of debt, and you’ll be able to learn from their successful experience.
